POLICE are appealing for witness after a man was punched in the head before having his car stolen in Cranage.

At 6pm on Thursday, January 19, a 24-year-old man was attacked near Byley Lane and demanded he hand over his car keys while he was standing outside his car.

Two men approached the victim, who was stood by his 04 black Audi S4 Estate near Cranage Hall, punched him in the head causing him to lose consciousness and took his car keys before driving off.

One of the men is described as being white with a tanned complexion, of a thin build and around 5’ 8” in height. He was wearing a black hooded top, dark trousers and dark trainers.

The other man is described as being white with a tanned complexion, of a large build and around 5"9 in height. He was wearing a black zip up jacket and dark trousers.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 805 of 19 January.
