AMBITIOUS plans to find new uses for the redundant farm buildings at Stock Farm in Ashley as a bespoke wedding, conference and events venue have been announced by Knutsford-based property and planning consultancy, TEM Property (TEM).

The plans, which will be showcased at an onsite community consultation event on January 17, will see the current dilapidated, former agricultural buildings transformed to cater for a wide range of events.

The proposals would revitalise the unused site, with the current buildings having attracted anti-social behaviour and fire damage in the past.

Carol Clarke, head of planning and engagement at TEM Property, said: “Our exciting plans for Stock Farm would see currently unused buildings transformed into a desirable location for weddings, conferences and other bespoke events and we are eager to hear the views of local people ahead of submitting a planning application.

“These proposals would create new jobs for local people on a brownfield site, along with local supplier opportunities for the valuable rural economy and we are confident that Stock Farm will become a unique and popular event space.

“Detailed consideration is being given to a number of highway and soundproofing options and we welcome thoughts on these.”

A consultation event will be held at Stock Farm on January 17 between 2pm and 7pm.

The TEM Property team will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions on the proposals.

A webpage has also been established for residents who cannot attend the event can be found here available from January 17.
