THE owners of two Mobberley pubs are toasting their generous customers following a successful charity ramble.

Cheshire Cat Pubs and Bars, the firm behind The Roebuck Inn and The Bulls Head, both in Mill Lane, raised £700 for Children in Need on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.

The company organised rambles in Mobberley and Cholmondeley over the weekend, as thousands of people across the country hit the great outdoors to support BBC Countryfile’s ramble for Children in Need.

Families and their dogs all took part in the event, with a barbecue to help fuel the participants.

Tim Bird, owner of Cheshire Cat Pubs and Bars, said: “We’re thrilled to have been able to raise this money for Children in Need.

“The walk was a great success with the sun shining throughout, so many ramblers turned out in their boots and wellies and the walk was finished in the traditional Cheshire way, in a pub.”

The rambles will feature on Countryfile on Sunday, November 6.
