A KNUTSFORD pub got a surprise on Thursday night when Harry Styles popped in for a cup of green tea.

Styles, who grew up in Holmes Chapel, joined his friends at The Rose n Crown Chop House on King Street on the evening of March 3.

The One Direction singer returned home to enjoy some down-time as the group begins its 2016 break.

Matthew, who owns both The Rose n Crown Chop House and The Belle Epoque, said “Harry was an absolute gentleman not only to our staff but also with fellow diners, and it was a real pleasure to have him here at The Rose n Crown.

“We look forward to welcoming him back again soon”.

Posts from the Rose n Crown and its sister venue The Belle Epoque, which specialises in weddings, were retweeted more than 550 times.

Some even suggested that wedding bells could be in the air for Styles.
