KNUTSFORD Town Council is asking residents their views on the future of the town’s open spaces in a new survey.
The scheme is part of the council’s ‘2020 Vision’, which was adopted in 2014 in which the council outlined their aim to protect and potentially improve Knutsford’s green areas.
The council has now created a map and a database of all publicly accessible land in the town so that people can view the land and make their choice.
Adam Keppel-Garner, town clerk, said: ““We want to hear from as many residents as possible on how they want to see their open spaces preserved; it could be that they need to just remain as they are or residents may feel that spaces would benefit from trees planting, benches installing etc.
“The feedback we receive will be shared with the owners of the land and also provide data for the emerging Neighbourhood Plan”
The scheme has already been called ‘fantastic’ by residents, with people showing their appreciation to the council for working to preserve the land.
