A MOBBERLEY residential home will celebrate the talents of their guests in an art exhibition opening next week.

Sunrise Senior Living is welcoming the return of ‘Art of Sunrise’ a campaign which champions art for elderly people.

The community will be hosting an exhibition as part of National Care Home Open Day on Friday June 19.

This year’s Care Home Open Day has an artistic theme, and in response the residential home has put together their specially curated collection for the occasion.

Director of Community Relations John Harrison: "Care Home Open Day should be a terrific occasion, there's been lots of work put into it and its a great opportunity to show off what we do here at Sunrise.

“The art exhibition is also a wonderful recognition of the talent of the residents at Sunrise Mobberley and at some of the local schools.

“Art is one of the most popular things we do here, it's very relaxing but it gives the residents real impetus and the opportunity to pursue a creative pastime - either as a new hobby or as a continuation of a skill that many had before.”

The event will include champagne and canapés, served from 2pm as singer Laney treats guests to songs of yesteryear.

Tours of the site will be taking place throughout the afternoon, and everyone is invited to attend.

Following the launch event on 19th June, the community will be open for visitors right through until the 26th.
