FORMER Dragons Den star, Theo Paphitis, has presented Plumley businessman, Daniel Clements, 43, with a certificate for a winning tweet.
Daniel tweeted Paphitis telling him about his Cheshire antique clock and furniture restoration business, Coppelia Antiques.
Paphitis retweeted the tweet to his 450k followers, making Mr Clements’ tweet one of six Sunday Small Business winners that week.
Daniel said: “Since the retweet, we have more than doubled our followers on twitter, had a lot more visits to the website and seen an increase in new contacts.
“So it’s all been good publicity for us.”
When Daniel collected his Small Business Sunday certificate he invited Paphitis to visit his business.
“He said he'd pop in when he next passes by,” he added.
Coppelia Antiques has been in the family for more than 45 years and a shop, Pendulum of Mayfair, that opened in London 20 years ago, is run by Daniel’s brother.
“With 50 per cent of their clients coming from abroad spring is one of the busiest times of year,” Daniel added.
“We have many clients that come over from America in the spring.”
