CHESHIRE Police are urging motorists to stay off the road unless their journey is essential as snow continues to fall across the county.
The current snowfall that Cheshire is experiencing is expected to pass across the county in the coming hours.
The snow has made driving conditions hazardous and roads slippy. Areas in the East of Cheshire have experienced heavy fall, while the rest of the county has also been affected.
Motorists are being advised not to travel unless essential and to allow extra time for such journeys. Gritters continue to work through the county to improve driving conditions.
Police are currently dealing with a high demand of calls concerning the weather conditions and encourage anyone who is involved in minor collisions to exchange details.
