KNUTSFORD Heritage Centre will host the first February Forum talk, ‘An Oasis Lost’, on February 7 which focuses on the Sahara Desert.
The talks, which are organised by the Friends of Knutsford Heritage Centre, take place at midday and cover a wide range of thought-provoking topics.
In the first talk expert Tony Judd tells of his experience exploring the Sahara’s hidden mountains, treacherous dunes and ancient images.
Other talks in store include ‘The Power Behind the Throne’ by Laura Tompkins focusing on queen consorts of medieval England and ‘Leaning on a Lamp Post’ by Brian Hallworth all about the life and times of George Formby.
Tickets for the events cost £7 each , £6.30 for members of the Friends, or all four can be purchased for £24.
Booking is essential and all talks are followed by a light lunch. Tickets can be bought from the King Street centre or call 01565 650506.
