REALITY TV series The Real Housewives of Cheshire exploded onto our screens last week – but not everyone is impressed with the glitzy ITVBe show.

The show’s six glamorous stars, Ampika Pickston, Dawn Ward, Magali Gorre, Leanne Brown, Tanya Bardsley and Lauren Simon, made their debut on Monday night.

Even though we are only one episode in, the show has already seen its fair share of cat-fights, cosmetic surgery and frivolous spending.

The show received mixed reviews on social media sites so we asked the people in the know to give us their verdict – our readers.

On Facebook, Kate Firth said: “It was the real Wags of Cheshire! Not representative at all!”

Joanne Sintes echoed this sentiment. She posted: “Not representative of real Cheshire at all just hasbeen wags but then the real Cheshire set wouldn’t do a show like that!”

Janice Ratter Ogg likened the show to early noughties tv drama Footballers Wives and Susan Hart kept her verdict simple by calling it ‘horrendous’.

Amanda May said what many Knutsfordians and fellow Cheshire residents have been saying on social media sites.

“Looking at the hashtag on twitter...only people from outside Cheshire liked it,” she said.

What was your verdict? Do you think that it enhances or tarnishes Cheshire’s image?
