A MYRIAD of mishaps and mayhem is set to bring Swettenham Heath to life as Clonter Opera welcomes its first ever pantomime this Christmas.

Cinderella will be gracing the stage of Clonter for one week only, from Wednesday December 17-24.

The cast is made up of professional West End performers and a juvenile ensemble of children local to the theatre.

It is particular significance to a number of cast and production members as many hail from Cheshire.

William Whelton, producer and choreographer of Cinderella, said: “It is a dream come true to bring Cinderella to my home county and put into practise the skills that I have learnt during my time as a performer.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better cast and creative team and I’m very excited to see the final product. Clonter Opera Theatre is an incredible venue right on our door step that really needs to be enjoyed by more locals.

“Cinderella is going to have something for everyone, all ages and all backgrounds and is set to be a magical, fun filled, family show.”

Fellow Cheshire resident Hannah Goodwin will play the title role of Cinderella.

She said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Cinderella for Clonter Opera Theatre’s first ever family Pantomime this Christmas. From the amazing new sets, exciting choreography and fantastic songs you know and love, Cinderella will have you dancing and singing in the aisles.

“I can't wait to work with such a professional, talented cast and creative team and look forward to seeing you there for lots of panto family fun.”
