CHILDREN and staff of Princess Street Preschool were armed with their favourite Teddy Bears as they celebrated the end of the school year on the Moor last Wednesday.

Around 50 people, including parents, grandparents, carers and children who previously attended the preschool, made their way to the Moor for the annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic on July 23.

There was a whole host of activities to enjoy, including parachute play, face-painting, sports and a ‘toddle around the moor’, to raise awareness of children’s charity Barnardos.

The event has been running for at least five years and is open to the wider public.

Mark Lee-Kilgariff, a member of the public who attended the event with his two-year-old daughter, said: “A wonderful, friendly morning of face-painting, games, music, singing and picnic munching on The Moor, organised by the lovely team at Princess Street Preschool.

“Another example of the super community spirit that Knutsford does so well.”

The Princess Street Preschool committee said they would like to thank all of the staff and volunteers from the school for their hard work over the past year and hope they enjoy a well-deserved summer break.
