FIREFIGHTERS will be rolling up their sleeves for charity next Saturday.

The team from the Mobberley Road fire station in Knutsford are staging a car wash in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity.

The event runs from 10am to 3pm on April 12, and will see the fire crew using buckets and hoses to bring a shine to local residents’ cars .

The fundraiser is part of the National Car wash, The Fire Fighters Charity’s biggest national fundraiser of the year.

The charity is the UK’s leading provider of life-enhancing services for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

“The charity car wash is a great way to not only increase awareness of road safety but also to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, which has provided help to serving and retired firefighters for more than 60 years.

“Our firefighters see the tragic consequences of road traffic collisions,. and I hope drivers will go along and support this event.
