CHILDREN from Goostrey will find out what life is like across the Channel tomorrow, Thursday.

Goostrey Primary School will be hosting its annual French Day on February 13.

Pupils will abandon their school uniform for the day and dress in the colours of the French flag; red, white and blue. Children will also get the opportunity to perform in French, try French food and take part on other activities designed to help them find out more about the life and culture of our European neighbours.

Headteacher Lyndsey Atkins said: “Our annual French Day has become an important fixture in the school calendar and I know the children are looking forward to learning more about what it would be like to live in France.

“All the staff will play their part in the day but I would like to thank Sue Mottershead, who teaches French in the school, for all the work she has put into organising the event.”
