SHOPPERS and workers woke to find four caravans on Booths car park this morning, Thursday.
Police told the Guardian the travellers were making their way to Appleby Horse Fair in Cumbria, which begins today, June 6 and last for a week.
Two of the caravans left shortly before 10am, while the other two told officers they would be on their way before 12pm.
Staff leaving Booths last night, Wednesday, said they noticed the caravans arriving shortly before 10pm as the store closed.
But residents have reported that rubbish has been left by the travellers, including dirty nappies.
Booths car park is operated by Cheshire East Council.
