Secretarial search for cancer charity

MARIE Curie Cancer Care is appealing for someone in the local community to volunteer to take on the secretary role for the Holmes Chapel fundraising group.

The role involves attending meetings every four to six weeks to take minutes, receive all correspondence and write letters of request and thanks and to join in with fundraising group activities and events.

The group meets at the George and Dragon in Holmes Chapel, and the next meeting is scheduled for tonight.

All money raised by the group is to provide high quality nursing care to terminally-ill patients, totally free, in the local area.
