HOLMES Chapel Scouts raised £819 by becoming Christmas posties.
Scouts, Cubs and Beavers delivered 2,800 festive cards in Holmes Chapel, Goostrey and surrounding areas in December.
The post service was also supported by Alex Watson and the Barclays pound-for-pound match funding scheme, and is expected to boost the total to £1,569.
Group Scout leader Wendy Macdonald said: “Our post service requires a lot of work and the involvement of many people. We would like to thank everyone involved, including our volunteers who helped in the sorting office, our members and supporters who delivered the post, to all the residents who support us by using the service and to Barclays for their continued support in boosting our funds.”
