CHILDREN from Knutsford schools have been proving recycling can be fun by helping Santa recycle.
In a Christmas competition organised by Wendy Diddams Opticians the children have designed and made Christmas stockings from recycled materials.
Wendy said: “All the stockings are beautiful and we have been fascinated by the ingenuity the children have shown – we only hope that when Dad can’t find one of his favourite socks we are not to blame.”
The town mayor Clr Vivien Davis presented the winners with digital cameras and ten runners up all went home with a selection box.
“I hope that by doing little fun events like this it will take away the worry children might have about eye tests and opticians, that in fact they can be a fun, friendly place to visit,” Wendy added.
