Police commissioner voter turnout in Cheshire East was 16 per cent

CHESHIRE East Council has released early voter turnout figures for the PCC elections.
47,736 people in Cheshire East cast a vote on who should become the new Police Crime Commissioner.
The number accounts for 16.68 per cent of the electorate.
A spokesman for Cheshire East said the percentage of votes per head was the highest out of Halton Borough, Warrington and Cheshire West and Chester councils.
Counting for Cheshire East begins at 2pm, with a result expected later this afternoon.
