POPSTAR in the making Chloe-Rose Cowan is to sing at the Shannon Bradshaw Trust ball after being described by a Warrington DJ as ‘phenomenally talented’.

The Great Sankey teenager, who will be performing at Wembley Arena in March as part of Voice in a Million, was visited at home by charity patrons Pete Pinnington and Amanda King.

She sang the James Bond numbers Skyfall and Goldfinger as part of an informal audition for the 007 ball at the Fir Grove Hotel, Grappenhall, on January 31.

“Pete was very impressed,” said Chloe-Rose’s mum, Debra.

“I was just made up as it’s great for her confidence to do something like this before Wembley.

“The Shannon Bradshaw Trust is such a great charity for children so I’m really proud that she’s able to support it.”

Pete Pinnington tweeted about Chloe-Rose after hearing her sing, describing the Great Sankey High student as ‘a phenomenally talented young singer’.

“She was delighted,” added Debra, who runs Traditions in Station Road.

“Chloe-Rose was absolutely thrilled because she was already following Pete on Twitter and when she saw he put that about her she was jumping around.

“It made her night. It was great to watch her reaction.”

Chloe-Rose will sing Emeli Sandé’s My Kind of Love as a soloist in front of 10,000 people for Voice in a Million in March.

The concert raises awareness of the millions of children worldwide who do not have a family to take care of them and former X Factor winner Matt Cardle will be among those performing.

Chloe-Rose was specially selected after a successful audition in Surrey in September.
