MOTORISTS are being urged to avoid the A556 following a collision involving two vehicles near the Mere Golf Resort and Spa.
Shortly before 3pm, Knutsford Police tweeted a photo from the scene of an accident at the traffic lights outside the entrance to the hotel and golf course.
Both lanes northbound, towards the M56, are now open but one lane remains closed southbound, towards Northwich, resulting in queuing traffic.
