LET Norwich Council be a model for Knutsford.

The imaginative scheme, that has just won the Stirling prize, would answer many of the objections that have been put forward about our proposed substantial housing development – less impingement on green belt land with a higher density development; truly affordable housing for those lower paid but essential workers in our community; construction specifications that meet the undoubted environmental challenges that are becoming more critical.

The return of a community environment where children can play safely has been welcomed by the families with young children.

We don’t need more executive houses taking up space. We have an opportunity to grasp the nettle and get developers to revisit plans and build for a healthier and more sustainable future. What is not to want.

Ethics please, not profit.
