IN reference to the proposed Tabley Hill service station redevelopment – I cannot believe that the Highways Department do not see any “material highway implications associated with the proposal”.
I live on Pickmere Lane and regularly use this junction and have seen vehicles turning right out of Tabley Hill Lane on numerous occasions, indeed I have twice seen vehicles turn right onto the wrong carriageway, fortunately without serious consequences.
Vehicles attempting to turn right have to sit at the junction with their rear-end in the carriageway, causing vehicles coming off the roundabout, often at high speed, to take evasive action.
Regardless of the parking problems this proposal should be vigorously opposed.
