I NOTE that Cheshire East Council have been busy cutting hedges and grass verges in all areas surrounding the site of the Royal Cheshire County Showground, the area now looks pristine and ready for the county showpiece.

However, having just travelled along Tabley Hill Lane I observed the disgraceful state of the hedgerows and footpath from Queensway to the Knutsford Cemetery, I felt sorry for anyone wishing to visit a grave and walking from Knutsford to the cemetery as they would certainly have to walk on the roadway as the footpath has been reduced to a very narrow strip with briars and grass overhanging the actual footpath.

Maybe CEC should focus on this area as well and consider those who walk this route to visit relatives’ graves.
