I HAVE just completed my final consultation with my oncologist pending the start of treatment for prostate cancer.

Included in her advice on the options of treatment was that the very real possibility of a no-deal Brexit might put in jeopardy the availability of the radioactive pellets used in brachytherapy, adding urgency and anxiety of the diagnosis.

Thus do the hard Brexiteers demonstrate their recklessness and irresponsibility.

It is not just that no one voted to make themselves poorer, no-one imagined that Brexit could be lifethreatening.

As they say – the personal can indeed be political.
