AS I was driving out of Knutsford along Mobberley Road last Wednesday night, my car unfortunately collided with a cat that ran out into the road.
I would like to thank the lovely man and his wife who were driving behind me who came to the assistance of the cat when I was too traumatised to be of much help.
Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Holly House Veterinary Surgery, who willingly collected the cat after the surgery had closed and offered to try and identify and contact its owner.
I was later informed they had been able to do so, as the cat had been microchipped.
As a cat owner myself, I found the incident very upsetting and it was very reassuring to know that there were kind people nearby who were willing to go the extra mile to help both the injured animal and the traumatised human at the time of greatest need.
