FURTHER to my recent letter referring to the proposed extension to the housing development at Hartford. The Northwich Transport Strategy (Mott MacDonald), as I previously pointed out, highlights a concern regarding the quality of air associated with traffic congestion.
Standing traffic at peak periods is a severe problem for the residents of Hartford.
I’m surprised that, air quality problems having been identified, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s environmental health have not been posted as consultees on the application for the extra 205 houses.
I do hope the planning committee will have the associated threats to the health and well being of residents high on their agenda when they consider this application.
Travel disruption caused by over capacity of the local network (Mott MacDonald) is a major concern.
Damage to the health of residents, especially the young and elderly, is intolerable.
