While I understand Richard Cusson’s heartfelt plea on behalf of some town centre residents, who feel that the popular monthly Sunday Makers Market disrupts their lives, I am very surprised that there may well be health and safety issues.
As the market has become increasingly busy the latter surely would have been discussed/resolved by the town council some time ago.
After the glowing reports from Cllr Farber on the Pub in the Park event last weekend (friends and family agree) perhaps the market could consider re-locating to the Booths Hall/Lambing Shed facility?
There could be a shuttle service to take the lazy from the bus station.
Thrilled to hear that ‘young and old’ were enjoying the festival fun. I’m saving up already for next year.
Peace returns to Princess Street.
Sunday silence.
