Recently Esther McVey MP for Tatton has been holding surgeries at local venues in order to meet with her constituents and listen to their views and concerns.
I went to one held at The Egerton Arms, which was well attended, and where the MP spoke individually to constituents and listened to what they had to say.
Quite a change from George Osborne who never held such surgeries. Indeed he was more like the Scarlet Pimpernel for even during his infrequent visits to the constituency few of his constituents ever saw him.
Indeed few would have known he has been to Tatton apart from photos in the local press as despite always having to rush back to London, he seemed to always find time to make himself available to local photographers.
