I am writing to back up what Tony Leadbetter said in the paper last week - the roads around Knutsford are shocking and very little concerted effort is made to fill in huge holes around and about on the roads and avenues where people live.

They are bad enough in the daylight for traffic and particularly cyclists, but at night they are lethal.

I have noticed Cheshire East trucks with at least four men trying to repair small bits of road but it seems that one hole may be done and others round about left and not repaired.

When I was a child growing up in West Yorkshire I remember many people complaining about the state of the roads and how bad they were - well Cheshire East you’re much better at letting the roads go to pot than West Yorkshire was.
