UNDERDOGS Morley reached next month’s Knutsford and District Amateur League Team Knockout Cup final after sending out higher-ranked Wilmslow Cons A in the last four.

The Division Two leaders went through by a 106-points margin.

They meet Royal London A in the showpiece after the Division One title hopefuls ended Mobberley A’s hopes of a league and cup double in the other semi finals clash.

The Division One pacesetters bounced back from a first league defeat of the term to whitewash Brook Street on Thursday.

Second-placed Royal London A, eight points adrift, won the round’s Match of the Day on aggregate against fellow challengers Knutsford Cons B.

In the second tier, Morley stay out in front after winning at Mere B.

Wilmslow Cons B are three points worse off following their win at Mobberley D, while Shaw Heath B got their campaign back on track with a whitewash of Knutsford Cons C.

Elsewhere Chris Bushell scored 30 points in a single visit to the table to help improving Mere A to victory at home to Mobberley C.

There were wins too for Royal London B and Shaw Heath A at the expense of Wilmslow Cons C and Mere D respectively.

Mobberley pair Tony Crompton and Neil Marshall reached tonight, Wednesday’s, last four of the Redwood Hire Champions competition after coming through Sunday’s qualifier at their home club.

There they meet Wilmslow Cons pair Mark Anderson and Richard Bayley, from Division Two.
