TOFT’S talented youngsters are being put through their paces ahead of the new season.
The revamped Academy has run tailored sessions for a dozen of the Cheshire County League club’s rising stars to prepare them for the senior sides.
“Making the transition from junior to senior cricket is a major step,” said head coach Rupert Kitzinger.
“The aim of the Academy is to ensure that those boys selected are introduced into senior cricket in a measured and sensible way. “They will be mentored by senior players and their progress monitored regularly.”
The group, all teenagers aged between 12 and 16, are or have recently been involved with the Cheshire County and District training programmes.
