TOP juniors from across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and North Wales plus one from Bishop Auckland set a record of more than 80 players competing in the Wilmslow GC Junior Open.
On offer was the main prize of the Robinson Trophy which was presented to the club over 40 years ago by their first junior organiser Philip Robinson.
The winner was Samuel Duckworth (Southport Old Links) with a nett 66 taking him clear from David Harris (Formby) 67 and Freddie Lye (Stockport) and Jessica Flynn (Bramall Park), both 68.
The best gross of 73 was posted by Harris, from Callum Brown (Bishop Auckland) and Aaron Cullen (Royal Liverpool) both 68 and Tom Lever (Prestbury) and Will Simcock (Ringway) both 75.
The top girls were Jessica Flynn with the best nett and Eryn Gravett (Astbury) with the best gross.
A great day for junior golf on a superbly presented course and excellent organisation both on and off the course led by Wilmslow junior organiser Chris Cope.
