JASON Robinson emerged from a 32-player field victorious in the Parkers Knutsford Removals Champions Trophy.
The Morley Green cueman finished a marathon day of snooker by beating Shaw Heath’s Shaun Brearly to take his first major singles title and the £50 cash prize.
Robinson had an 88-point head start in the final but, aided by a 32 break, Brearly recovered all of that to draw himself level in a match played over a two-frame aggregate format.
However, some fine potting saw Robinson over the line in the end.
He had earlier beaten Mere’s Alec Wright in the last-four to reach the final of the one-day competition held at Wilmslow Conservative Club, with Brearly besting Wilmslow’s Laughlan Anderson in the semis.
