THE top three are starting to pull away in the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League.
Morley Green lead the way by a point from both Shaw Heath and Tatton A, but the chasing pack are all at least nine points further adrift.
That is despite Morley losing their Week Nine fixture against bottom side Wilmslow Cons B, who ran out 5-2 victors.
That meant both of the chasing sides could make ground – Shaw Heath edged out Tatton B 4-3 while Tatton A’s big 6-1 win over Mobberley B was their first win in four matches.
Mere C beat Mobberley C 6-1 with Arthur Hasford, Richard Jones and Rick Timms all scored 100+ points in their frames.
Tatton C pipped Mobberley A 4-3 on the final black in a match in which Pete Blain and Mark Newall both had breaks over 30 while Mere A put in a strong showing to beat in-form Wilmslow Cons A 5-2.
KADASL, Week Nine results:
Mere C 6 Mobberley C 1, Mobberley A 3 Tatton C 4, Morley Green 2 Wilmslow Cons B 5, Shaw Heath 4 Tatton B 3, Tatton A 6 Mobberley B 1, Wilmslow Cons A 2 Mere A 5.
