Mark Newall brings us the latest action from the Knutsford and District Amateur Snooker League...

WEEK Four started with Mere A picking up their first win of the season in fine style, upsetting the form books with a 5-2 win against the previously unbeaten Mobberley C.

Tuesday’s other match saw a Tatton derby match, with the B team edging out the C team 4-3.

Moving onto Thursday and Tatton A continue to head the table after a 4-3 victory against a still winless Mere C.

The match was very much in the balance until a fine 122-point frame score for Paul Townsend secured victory for Tatton A.

This was a top-against-bottom clash but the close scoreline is a reflection on just how competitive the league is this year.

Shaw Heath move up to second in the table after a 5-2 win against Wilmslow Cons A.

Mobberley B were victorious against Wilmslow Cons B 5-2 and the final match of the week saw Morley Green move into contention with a strong 5-2 win against Mobberley’s A team, helped by a 45 break by their captain Paul Hart.

Week Four results:
