KNUTSFORD FC have it all to do if they are to reach the next phase of the Cheshire Football League’s JB Parker Premier Division Challenge Cup.

Both of their opening group-stage matches have ended in defeat, with a 3-1 reverse at Eagle Sports on Tuesday following a 4-2 loss to FC St Helens on Saturday.

They must now beat Eagle at Manchester Road in Saturday to stand any chance of progressing from Group A.

Lee Eaton's side were all set to mark their first game in nearly six months with an impressive win.

Andrew Gillespie equalised before an own goal from Knutsford’s Luke Vayro completed the turnaround.

Gillespie then added a second to confirm defeat for Reds.

Meanwhile, things are looking much rosier at Egerton, who will qualify from Group B if they win at Winstanley Warriors on Saturday.

Goals from Louis Brown and Rory Gorton led them to a 2-0 win over Garswood United on Tuesday, making it three wins from three since returning to action.

Yellows are also due to visit Congleton Town Reserves on Tuesday evening.

In League One, Styal suffered a heavy home defeat at the weekend, going down 4-0 to Denton Town.

They will look to bounce back on Saturday when they host Windle Labour
