KNUTSFORD Golf Club’s Captain David Kelly and his wife Margaret hosted over 80 golfers at the Club’s annual Captain’s Day event.

The first fourball on the tee at 8am comprised of Knutsford members’ Nigel Eckersley, Nick Boase, Shaun Mudalige and Richard Page.

Commenting on his day David Kelly said: “With planning, attention to detail and awareness of Covid -19 protocols, we managed to have a wonderful day in the company of 80 golfing members of our club.

"The sun shone, the course was terrific and the usual banter was in full flow.

“I cannot thank my friends enough for making my Captain’s Day so special.”

The winner on the day was Paul Moonan with a fantastic score of 41 Stableford points closely followed by Chris Clarke in second place on 38 points.

A delighted Paul Moonan said: “The Captain put on a great day for all our members and as for me, well, it was one of those wonderful days when the gods shine on you!”
