HOLMES Chapel-based Victoria Club showed their battling qualities in week one of the Mid-Cheshire Table Tennis League's Super League competition.
In their opening Division One fixture, Victoria Club fought to share the spoils with Tigers as the sides drew 5-5.
Pete Morley was outstanding for Victoria as he racked up five-set wins over both Winston Duff and Craig Lee.
Meanwhile, Victoria's seconds enjoyed a superb start in Division Three.
They brought Smashers back down to earth after their brace of Mike Johns Memorial Handicap wins as they recorded an 8-2 victory.
Alan Lenton and Keith O'Brien were the stars of the show for Victoria as they both finished unbeaten.
