DESPITE a handicap system being in place, defending champions Mobberley A continue to dominate the Knutsford & District Amateur Snooker League.
They have opened up a 13-point lead at the top of Division One and look to be well on course to retain their title.
Below them, however, things are finely poised as second-place Shaw Heath and Tatton B in sixth are separated by just six points.
With Wilmslow Cons B and Alderley Union fighting to avoid relegation, a close second half of the season appears to be in store.
There are also runaway leaders in Division Two, with Mobberley C's close-season strengthening paying off as they appear set for promotion.
They sit a comfortable 13 points ahead of nearest challengers Mere A while Mere C are 17 points adrift at the bottom.
