HOLMES Chapel Hurricanes Football Club are progressing nicely.

The club, founded in 2000 who play their home matches at various schools in the area, have 24 junior squads in the age range under eights to under 18s, an open-age team and girls' teams.

Among them are four under 12s teams, with the Blacks and Whites – who have recently been provided with training tops courtesy of Lynton Lasers – marching on in the Mid-Cheshire Youth League Cup at the weekend.

The Blacks overhauled Vale Juniors Congleton Vikings 7-0, while the Whites toppled Davenham JFC Dynamoes U 3-1.

Second place is currently being held down by the Blacks in Division Two, having secured three wins and a draw from six games.

The Whites are third in Division Three.
