KNUTSFORD rider Pete Founds, already crowned champion, attended the penultimate round of the British F2 Sidecar Championship at Mallory Park with no regular passenger.

FSRA Club passenger Mark Stones took to the bike for the Saturday sessions.

After a decent third place in qualifying and a decent start running towards the front, the lads had to pull in and did not finish the race.

Sunday saw FSRA regular passenger Sarah Stokoe join Founds and they were fastest in a wet morning warm-up.

However, due to not finishing Saturdays race, Team Founds started down the grid amid hammering fainfall.

The Knutsford man got a great start and was soon up to second and tracking the leader, but with treacherous conditions an off circuit excursion resulted in them finishing in a respectable fourth place.

Founds also competed in the club races with his nephew Rhys Gibbons on board.

After a slow start to give the teenager time to get used to the bike, Founds gradually started to increase his speed and the lads managed to finish Saturday's race.

The next day the pair carved through the field, were soon at the front and pulled away from the chasing pack to secure a family win to savour.
