A TEXAS scramble at Alderley Edge Golf Club was won by Steve Lomas, Brian Jones, Mike Magee and Roy Parker with a fine score of 57.2.

David Snell came out on top in the final of the Simister Cup at Alderley Edge with 38 points.

Hot on his heels were Simon Barber and Mike Harding, both 37, and Steven Yakub and Keith Doyle, both 36.

Edge’s ladies played a singles stableford and Marion Hall led in with 29 points, three more than Sue Kendrick and Wendy Rule.

A Saturday stableford at Styal Golf Club saw Division One topped by Sam MacLeod with 43 points, ahead of Anton Barnsley, 41, and Brian Appleby and Sam Hall, both 38.

In division two, Andy Morley led in with 42 points from Patrick Sharrocks, 40, and William Geddis, Ian Barber and Dave Halliday, all 39.

A Spring am-am at Prestbury was led in by the hot trio of S and I Burnage and D Greensmith with 85 points from O Wilson, J Davidson and D Lownds, 83, and A Bunt, Mike Harrington and B Cullen, 82.

Prestbury’s ladies were in medal mode and topping the two divisions were Emma-Jayne Bolshaw after a cpo on 75 with Elizabeth Dunckley, and Alison Martin, 73, from Shirley Osbaldeston, 74.A singles stableford at Davenport saw the divisions led in by Graeme Dodd with 41 points, David Spibey - after a card play-off on 41 with Chris Souter, and Alan Davidson, 38.

Mottram Hall’s men were in bogey action and top of the shop with a superb +9 was Nick Robinson from Paul Dunford, +7, and Graham Roche, +5.

A mixed stableford at Shrigley Hall was won by Jack Bennett with a massive 46 points taking him clear of Michael Walsh and Roger White, both 39.
