STEFFIE Moss is making her mark at a higher level already this year.
In her first year as an under 20s athlete, the 17-year-old is not only giving older and more experienced competitors a run for their money but winning too.
The Wilmslow High School student, who is on the books at Sale Harriers and training under Olympian Jenny Meadows’ husband Trevor Painter, recently took gold in the English Indoor Championships over 800m in Sheffield.
Since then, with a time almost three seconds faster, Moss came second for England in the Welsh Athletics International staged in Cardiff.
She did so having already crossed the line first in the Northern Athletics Indoor Senior Championships in January and the City of Birmingham Games in February.
