WITTON Albion have been paired with a foe they haven’t faced previously at the next stage of the FA Trophy.
Carl Macauley’s men, conquerors of AFC Rushden & Diamonds last weekend, will head to higher-ranked Leamington for a third round qualifying encounter later this month.
Their opponents currently occupy 12th position in National League North.
However that is unlikely to daunt the Northwich side after they eliminated Spennymoor Town and FC United of Manchester – both of them rivals of the Brakes – during a run to the latter stages of qualifying for this season’s FA Cup.
The tie is provisionally scheduled for Saturday, November 24, kick-off 3pm, and the winners will pocket £5,000 in prize money.
