MOBBERLEY A, the defending champions, recorded a seventh successive win to move a dozen points clear in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s first division.
A 5-2 success at third-placed Brook Street A allowed Tatton to close a gap to second when they prevailed against Shaw Heath – last season’s runners-up.
Mere A’s reverse at Mobberley B leaves them adrift at the bottom of the table.
Wilmslow Cons lead the way in Division Two following a derby success against neighbours Wilmslow RBL, followed by Mere B who saw off Mobberley C.
Back-markers Mere C lost at Brook Street B in the other game played last week.
