MOBBERLEY A were unconvincing when they started a new Knutsford and District Amateur League season by coming from behind to edge out Brook Street A.
There were wins in the top-flight too for Shaw Heath, who squeezed past Tatton, and a whitewash success for Mobberley B against promoted Mere A.
Mere B are setting the pace in Division Two, following up a 5-2 win in their first fixture with another at Mobberley C.
Dave Rainford’s run of 35 for the home team was a highlight.
Brook Street B won away to Mere C while Wilmslow RBL prevailed in a derby meeting with neighbours Wilmslow Cons.
