BRADLEY West continued an impressive start a new season when he scored a goal that earned for Knutsford a share of the spoils last Saturday.

The forward applied the finishing touch after Matthew Harrison’s looping header from Jack Lever’s back-post corner dipped into his path.

It was his seventh strike in eight games this term.

Reds had edged the first-half, and took the lead when Joel Wilbraham punished a mistake by goalkeeper Sam Tickle after his clearance struck defender Jack Gibney and rolled his way.

The visitors almost responded straightaway, but goalkeeper Callum Spencer reacted smartly to thwart Steve Williams.

Pilks did restore parity early in the second-half when Deklan Hill turned in Luke Sephton’s cross on 53 minutes.

Jordan Gunter and Jamie Mottershead, Knutsford’s management duo, then sent on James Clancy to replace Matthew Schofield in attack.

However the substitute’s first contribution was to trip Matthew Taylor and concede a spot-kick.

Sephton did the rest, making it 2-1 and claiming his first goal of the campaign.

However Knutsford, with Matthew Davies on for Mark Evans, rallied.

They slowly worked their way back into the contest and were rewarded when West reacted quickly to nudge the ball over the line.

Pilks pressed again, and Sephton fired high on the turn.

However there were no more goals, and Reds collected a point for the second successive game following a 1-1 draw with promoted Daten in midweek.
