CHAMPIONS Mobberley A have an unblemished record in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s top-flight after completing half their matches.
They proved too strong for relegation candidates Wilmslow Cons B last time out – a 14th successive win in Division One this term.
A race to lead the chasing pack behind them continues to ebb and flow.
Wilmslow Cons A closed to within a point of second-placed Shaw Heath, beaten by Alderley Union, following a 5-2 win against Mobberley C.
Brook Street A lost heavily at home to Mobberley B, who sit fourth in the table.
Tatton are 16 points better off than closest-rivals Mobberley D at the top of Division Two following a 5-2 win at Mere B.
Paul Townsend was their star turn after scoring 101 points in his frame success against John Jackson.
Mobberley D restricted Mere C to a single frame, while third-placed Mere A kept alive their promotion hopes by brushing aside Brook Street B.
