WILMSLOW High School teams enjoyed a successful day at the North West Trampolining Championships in Wigan.

Thirty-three students qualified for the North of England Championships in Huddersfield on Saturday, February 3.

Coach Hilary Pemberton said: “Success is gained from hard work, dedication and a hunger to win and we certainly did that.”

Abby Regan, Harvey Spendlow and Ben Dickinson were crowned north west individual champions, while Lara Plant, Jacinta Kynaston, Mollie Bennett, Dominic Rowe, Oliver Weir and Conor Smith achieved medal positions.

Six Wilmslow teams finished in first place.

They were led by the under 19s boys' elite quartet of Conor Smith (second), Jack Colledge (fifth), Matt Graham (fourth) and Ethan Ford (eighth).

Another victory in the same age group was claimed by the intermediate boys' team of Ben Dickinson, Dominic Rowe, Oliver Weir and Finley Greenwood taking the top four spots.

Jacinta Kynaston (second), Katie Phythian (fourth), Millie Ridal (sixth) and Sara Shannoun (eighth) secured victory for the under 19s girls' novice team, while success at the same level in the under 13s age group came courtesy of Abbey Regan being first, Lara Plant third, Mia Greenwood sixth, Katie Ogden 11th and Ilona Kusznir 12th.

Two under 19s intermediate girls' teams placed first and third, with Molly Andrews finishing fourth, Shauna Greaves fifth, Gracie Davies sixth, Amy Worsley eighth, Georgia Long ninth, Julia Cusworth 13th, Maisie Calder 17th and Elise Bale 22nd.

There were first and second placings for under 15s novice boys' teams as Harvey Spendlow bounced to first position, with Ethan Hughes fourth, George Ainsworth fifth, Jack Loynton sixth, Jack Mitchell seventh, Sam Poole eighth, Fabio Stubbs 12th and Finley Michaelis 14th.

The under 15s girls' novice time collected third place thanks to Hannah Fazelynia (fifth), Georgie Andrew (10th), Anabel Wheeler (13th), Imogen Campbell (15th) and Phoebe Gardner (18th).

Second spot was achieved by Alfie Kenworthy (seventh), Oliver Gordon (eighth), Aidan Smith (ninth) and Harry Best (12th) in the under 14s intermediate boys' competition, while Mollie Bennett (second), Amelie Mckay (13th), Christina Philippou (18th) and Malaika Ah-Tou (28th) took third place at under 14s girls' intermediate standard.
